Democrats fail to experience a 'green' wave to support their blue wave theory

Red States:
...
In April the Democrats raised $7.8 million, representing the lowest midterm collection for that month since 2006. They outspent that amount, recording $8.3 million in expenditures, and racking up its debt figure to $5.3 million. This does not exactly reflect on an electorate hungry to unseat and create a tidal shift, politically.

Further indication of challenges to this were seen in a variety of recent primary elections where the GOP held seats. This willful overlooking, in order to focus on the results that support the talking-point, shows a level of delusion may be in play. One other indicator of the Wave resembling something less than a high tide water level can be seen on the other side of the ledger.

The Republicans are hardly a dispirited voting block, as they are collecting donations at a record clip. For the same month of April the RNC collected $13 million, and also sees a wide discrepancy of cash on hand. The GOP shows over $43 million cash on hand, while the DNC is sitting on only $8.7 million in the bank.
...
A note of caution.  I think the Democrat party is not attracting donors, but some Democrat candidates are.  If that is the case, it is possible that those getting the big donations are part of the more radical left and may not be electable.  More on their financial problems can be found here.
