Google is keeping track of your online shopping

Google now knows when its users go to the store and buy stuff

The advance is a step toward what industry insiders have long described as the “holy grail” of digital advertising, but it is also likely to renew concerns over whether technology companies know too much about people’s lives.
It is kind of creepy to look at merchandise online and then find ads popping up on nearly every site you visit trying to sell you the same products.  It gives the feeling of being stalked.  It is not always bad.  Some sites do show up with better prices making the search for the best deal a little easier.
