The Curious Link Between the Fly-By Anomaly and the “Impossible” EmDrive Thruster

The same theory that explains the puzzling fly-by anomalies could also explain how the controversial EmDrive produces thrust.
I have long thought that it would take some kind of breakthrough to make space flight more realistic and this may be it.  On of the problems with the theory is that it is hard to verify on earth, but scientists have noted that craft tend to speed up when passing by objects and planets in space.

  1. Sorry, but no. The "slingshot effect" which is used to accelerate spacecraft is completely understood by basic Newtonian physics. It is not remotely anomalous. The non-Newtonian EmDrive, like the Dean Drive of decades passed, if it exists at all, is.
