Is this why the administration is trying to have fewer standardized tests?

Washington Post:

The Nation's Report Card showed a decline in math scores for U.S. fourth- and eighth-graders for the first time since testing began in 1990. Reading scores were also sobering. In addition, the tests once again revealed large achievement gaps between white and minority students, and between poor and affluent children.
It si not too surprising when part of the common core math is incomprehensible to those who actually understand math and know that three times five is 15.  Teacher's hate standardized tests because they expose failure of the students and those who are supposed to be teaching them.  It si not surprising that an administration that specializes in avoiding responsibility for its screw ups would side with the teachers' unions that also want to avoid responsibility.
