Patty Murray, low functioning Democrat takes charge

"It was an overwhelming feeling of 'Wow!' " Murray said. "The sun was shining again. There was hope and opportunity."

For most of her 14 years in the Senate, Murray has been waiting for a chance to exercise power. Now she has a lot of it.

Murray has just been named secretary of the Democratic caucus, a nebulous title that makes her part of the Senate Democrats' leadership quartet.

More important, Murray is poised to become chairwoman of the Appropriations subcommittee for transportation and other areas.

That puts the third-term senator in a position to pursue several major priorities for the state: $750 million for Sound Transit's "University Link" extension; $690 million for cleanup at the Hanford nuclear reservation; money for a joint port-security operations center for Seattle and Tacoma. She also wants more for veterans programs, including money for a new clinic in Whatcom County.

Like wow! Why is she going to waste all that money on local projects and pork when she should be creating day care centers in Iraq and Afghanistan to compete with Osama bin Laden. No this Senator Light Weight just wants to use her power for pork. In case you do not recall Murray said shortly after 9-11 that Osama was so popular because of his work in providing among other things day care centers. She is certainly living proof that liberals are not as smart as they think they are. In fact she is right up there with Major Owens in the low functioning Democrat category. That Democrats would elevate her into a leadership position certainly puts their judgment at issue.

29 % of companies say they are unlikely to keep insurance after Obamacare

Conn Carroll: A new survey of 368 midsize to large companies found that 29% of them are considering terminating their active employee health care plans when Obamacare is full implemented in 2014. Only 71% of employers surveyed said they did not expect to drop their health coverage, while 20% said they did not know and 9% said they were planning to exit. The latest survey, conducted by Towers Watson, echoes an ealier survey by McKinsey & Co. finding that 30% of private-sector employers were planning to drop their employee health insurance coverage by 2014. Bin Laden's concern about Zarqawi's remains
